“After attending SMWWC
meetings for several years and listening to the presenters share their needs
for those in Andrew and Buchanan Counties, I realize there is so much we need
to do. It is so hard to just pick one presentation at each meeting when there
are so many who need our help.Wouldn’t
it be wonderful if we could meet Elaine’s challenge to bring enough members in
so we could reach the goal of being able to give $10,000 at each meeting and
even possibly give out two donations? One way we can achieve this goal is
for our members to share information with other organizations that we belong
to, have flyers available at our churches, and offer invitations to attend one
of our meetings to “find out” what SMWWC members do! I am sure there are
many other ways we can reach this goal. Having organized the Andrew
County Clothes Closet in the Andrew County Food Pantry, I see how we meet the
need for food and clothing and I am proud to be a part of SMWWC so I can help
with other areas where people are in need.”

SMWWC is a group of women who are deliberately creating a social effect larger than any one of us could if acting alone. We care, we act, and we’re efficient about it!
